 | Seventh-Day Adventists
Seventh-day Adventists believe in a Creator God who desires to have a personal relationship with each of us. Sin resulted in a separation in this relationship and God provided a way to restore it through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son who lived as a human and took the death penalty of sin on himself in our place.
It is by believing and trusting in Jesus and His sacrifice that humans are saved. God desires to walk with us on a journey to growing and maturing as a believer, experiencing an ever-deepening trust in Him.
Adventists believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that prayer is two-way communication with God, and our bodies are the dwelling place for God's Spirit.
Adventists believe the seventh-day was set apart as a day of celebration at the end of the creation week as Sabbath, which literally means "rest." The Sabbath-rest that God provides is ultimately about trusting God and resting in that trust-resting from trying to save ourselves or provide for ourselves because God is the provider and sustainer of all our needs.
Adventists believe in the second coming of Jesus and that He will return to this earth for everyone who has responded to His desire to have a relationship with Him.
