Director / Chaplain

Lisa Hope began serving as Director and Chaplain for Advent House/ACF at UTK in June 2007. Originally from Pennsylvania, Lisa attended Southern Adventist University for two years before completing a masters in occupational therapy from the University of Florida. An occupational therapist by profession, several years ago Lisa sensed God leading her toward full-time ministry after losing her husband to a brain tumor. Being able to serve in ministry to college students at UTK is a dream come true for her. She is licensed as a Christian Counselor through the National Christian Counseling Association. Lisa sums up her life goal as experiencing and facilitating others toward an ever-deepening relationship with God, others, and ourselves.

Lisa also serves as Director of Adventist Christian Fellowship for the Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, overseeing the implementation and growth of ACF groups in Georgia and East Tennessee. For more information go to www.acfgcc.org (well eventually, anyway!)

In her spare time Lisa enjoys running, hiking, reading, journaling, time with her family, friends, and animals, meeting new people, and anything new and adventurous!
